The Joy of Creating

Life has been stressful lately.  Full of twists and turns.  Add a dash of drama.  A worry here and there.  And a studio move and just plain old exhaustion.  All that equates to not much painting of late.

But this painting has been on the back burner for a bit.  It's a commission and a surprise for someone special.  It's also been a boon for me.  It's pulled me back into painting and out of myself.

It's for a new medical clinic in Haiti that is due to open in September.  The flowers are hibiscus, the national flower of Haiti.  The rest is whimsy and imagination.

I'm happy to share it with you.  And I hope it brings joy to friends to Haiti.

God bless.
